A large number of learners in disadvantaged communities have either limited
or no access to eye care facilities and the waiting list is around 6 months,
which makes this partnership a much-needed relief.
Speaking at Manzini Primary school, O.R. Tambo International Airport’s
Assistant General Manager, Kris Reddy said “South Africa counts on its youth to
provide guidance and direction in future. Visual impairment can exclude youth
from economic and social participation. This is why we will be donating a total
of 1 200 developmental pack to four schools around the O.R. Tambo International
Airport region. We are proud to invest in the future of our country today.”
